In this blog, we will show you how to make a quick and easy vanilla-infused protein coffee where the bold essence of black coffee marries the gentle sweetness of vanilla-flavored protein powder, crafting a harmonious blend that will keep you satiated throughout your day!

This concoction is simple and easy to make as it revolves around two ingredients, a generous scoop of vanilla whey protein and your preferred milk or dairy alternative. Keep in mind that hydrolyzed protein powder is considered more suitable for mixing with hot liquids like coffee or tea due to its manufacturing process and properties.

- Solubility: Through hydrolysis, protein is broken down into smaller peptides thus creating improved solubility and making it easier to dissolve in hot liquids.

- Less Sensitive to Heat: Heat denaturation occurs when proteins lose their structure and functionality due to exposure to high temperatures thus, reducing their nutritional quality. Hydrolyzed proteins on the other hand are more heat stable maintaining their nutritional quality.

- Digestibility: The hydrolysis process also breaks down the protein molecules making it easier to digest which may result in reducing the likelihood of stomach discomfort and bloating.

With this said, this is why we blend the protein isolate powder with milk prior to adding it to the coffee.
